Teddy Bear Truths
Snowy looked up as his charge stomped into the nursery, glassy blue teddy bear eyes swiveling with his head. He watched with interest as the tall, thirty-year-old toddler slammed the door and flopped face-down onto the bed with a huff. The bear sighed. Pushing himself upright with his plush arms, he brushed off a bit of stringy fur from his sweater, and, with a nimbleness that defied his broad, puffy limbs, began the slow climb up to the bed.
One of the core tenets of the Teddy Bear Code was always being there for your child, always being willing to listen, and always understanding, but Caleb had a way of making that difficult sometimes for Snowy. To start with, the boy was about three times the size of a typical toddler and that made him hard for the bear to handle. He was willing enough when it came to playing with Snowy and other toys, but obeying rules and generally being good seemed to not be important at all to Caleb. Snowy tried to stop his charge from being naughty, he really did, but theres only so much tugging, pushing, and posturing a 16 inch teddy bear can do in the face of 6 foot baby.
Stuffies have their own little lives, even though theyre tied to ours often times. I love seeing things like this.
There is a bit of a dark tone to it though, but thats understandable given the type of fantasy.
